Christine Mainor, the founder and sole proprietor of Lux by Renee, is an empathetic artist who pours her heart and soul into creating lux experiences for every special occasion. Creative by nature and driven by God’s design, Christine has a natural knack for executing thoughtful experiences that often exceed client expectations.
Coming from a family of foodies, hospitality runs deep in Christine’s blood. As a college student, she quickly found herself fully engrossed as an Operations Manager in her father’s restaurant business and philanthropic initiatives. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas Christine's family joins forces to distribute homemade meals, clothes, and toys to neighboring Detroit communities. These experiences fueled Christine’s entrepreneurial drive and commitment to delighting all the senses through her thoughtful curation, thus leaving a positive mark on her community and clientele.
History in the making.
Lux by Renee wasn’t Christine’s first entrepreneurial venture, but it was the one she was destined to pursue. During the pandemic, a friend contacted Christine asking her to take full control of planning and executing an intimate dinner in her home. From food to decor, Christine’s level of detail, precision, and creativity stood out and quickly made waves in her network of friends and family. Before she knew it, word of mouth had her business in full swing. Today, Lux by Renee is the premier choice of intimate events and catering in Metro Detroit and is quickly becoming a choice partner for many corporate events.
